Since his teens, Jordan Little has been interested in Web and graphic design.

"I've been doing it for quite a while," Little said.

Little was in high school when he first began "fooling with Web design," learning the basics through the EAST Initiative.

Now, just five years later, Little has combined his expertise and interests to open his own corporate Web design company, which he has dubbed Pixel Splendor.

Little is concerned that many Arkansas companies have learned to design their own Web content using "old technology," encountering many problems when their sites are viewed through different Internet browsers. That's where Pixel Splendor comes in, offering the use of standard space design, which allows for static content when viewed on any computer or browser.

"Pixel Splendor is one of the few Web design businesses in Arkansas that uses standard space design. Ultimately, it's going to allow my clients more user choice," Little said.

"A major marketing campaign" is the next step for the young entrepreneur, who invested nearly $5,000 in the startup of Pixel Splendor. Little plans to advertise in local publications, in addition to mailing out flyers to potential clients.

"I want to market the fact that we are new, and not in a bad way," Little said. "Really, we're just fresh and up-to-date."
