Green Building Council to Hold Sustainable Conference in Hot Springs

The U.S. Green Building Council Arkansas Chapter is hosting its Sixth Annual Sustainable Arkansas Convention and Expo in Hot Springs May 19-20 at the Hot Springs Convention Center and Embassy Suites.
Speakers at the event include Jerome Ringo of Apollo Alliance. Ringo is a former National Wildlife Federation chairman and the first African American to head a prominent environmental organization.
Also speaking: Gail Vittori, co-director of the Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems, a nonprofit design firm dedicated to sustainable planning, design, and demonstration. Vittori will speak about how hospitals are built and operated and their effects on the environment.
The two-day conference is divided into three tracks: Commercial green building, residential green building and public awareness.
