Gov. Mike Beebe's office announced Tuesday that a summary report on the use of federal stimulus funds is availalbe online at recovery.arkansas.gov.
The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act requires states to report detailed information about the spending economic stimus money. Arkansas filed the required reports last month. At that point, $1.1 billion had been awarded in Arkansas, $112.5 million had been spent and 2,633 jobs had been created or saved.
"This report illustrates the progress that Recovery funds have made in Arkansas so far," Beebe said in a news release. "It is our job to show the dividends this taxpayer investment is creating in our State, and we're seeing jobs saved or created and infrastructure projects well under way."
On Oct. 30, the White House released data that included information on stimulus funds released to state and local governments, nonprofits and other entities. That information is online at www.recovery.gov.categories
