1/11/2010 12:00:00 AM
Remzi Seeker of the College of Engineering & Information Technology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock has some advice for business owners who find themselves gazing off into the clouds as they ponder whether or not to outsource their e-mail, software and computer infrastructure needs to cloud-computing providers.
"Before making a decision I would want to answer the following questions:
● Can I do it better?
● How much am I saving by going to the 'cloud-way'?
● What are my long-term gains and how does cloud computing fit into my vision?
● What are the risks, and do I feel comfortable with this service provider after I ask all my questions and have received their response?
● Does my decision make good business sense - reducing cost, not sacrificing security and quality?"
