Hall Tapped for IEC

The Innovation and Entrepreneur Center of Fort Smith has landed a rising star in Michelle Hall as its new director.
Hall, who will be introduced at a news conference May 14, is bringing valuable experience from North Carolina, where she earned a master’s in entrepreneurship from Western Carolina University and focused her efforts in the state’s Business Resource Alliance.
Hall’s top achievement involved writing and winning a $2 million grant from the Kellogg Foundation to create an entrepreneurship development system in economic distressed and ethnically diverse regions of North Carolina.
Hall also focused her work on entrepreneur programs in high schools and developing guides to obtaining capital for different types of businesses. She also wrote an entrepreneur policy agenda for the North Carolina General Assembly.
