CB Insights released today Part 1 of its first-ever Venture Capital Human Capital Report. Check it out — it’s really quite interesting. Outside the obvious — like the fact that California, New York and Massachusetts are the Big 3 when it comes to new ventures — the report contains some very interesting demographic information such as racial breakdown of new firm founders, age and experience, and number of founders per firm.
Here’s a couple of teasers — 87 percent of internet firm founders are white, and all-Asian teams raise the largest funding rounds. Really very interesting (we need to think of a new word) stuff.
