Certus Group’s Orderpad Makes First Big Splash

The Certus Group is an IA client firm whose Orderpad mobile app for doctors has made its first big splash.

Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould has signed on to adopt the app that enables doctors to access all patient data from their iPad or other tablet. No desktops needed.

PARAGOULD, AR- Arkansas Methodist Medical Center is in the process of adopting Orderpad, a mobile application created for physicians. It is a time-saving alternative to the traditional desktop computer system and creates convenient access to inpatient information. The Orderpad solution at AMMC represents the first real success of any kind of portable healthcare computing.

The key to continued success is in a long awaited embrace of BYOD, which stands for bring your own device, a trend that is sweeping the nation and the world. Physicians can now bring their iPad or Android tablet to the hospital and load the app free of charge and start saving time immediately. According to Hospital Medicine Physician Dr. Tory Stallcup, “I am saving at least an hour a day already.” Besides saving personal time, physicians at AMMC have also noticed significant benefits to patient safety inherent to the mobile app’s design. Dr. Samuel Burchfield, Family Practice Physician, adds “In just a short amount of time I can see that it will also allow doctors, like myself, to shorten our patients’ length of stay in the medical center.”
