The popular elevator pitch contest, Gone in 60 Seconds, returns on Thursday, Sept. 6.
The latest installment of IA advisor Jeff Amerine‘s brainchild (yes, it’s a word) is scheduled for Sept. 6 in Rogers at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center adjoining the Embassy Suites.
This G60 will complement the NWA Business Expo which will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. that day. G60 will then kick off with registration at 7.
Register to pitch at IA’s lovely, newly revamped site (well done, Flex360). Local entrepreneurs are encouraged to attend the expo and hang around for the pitches.
G60 has had successful stops in Fayetteville (twice), Fort Smith, Rogers, Little Rock and El Dorado. Now it makes its second Rogers stop. Event organizers hope to bring the event to other parts of the state soon. Possible future stops include Conway, Texarkana, Jonesboro, and a return to the Rock.
Almost
Arkansas almost had some time on the IdeaMensch national stage. Here’s a note received recently from NWA entrepreneur Cade Collister, now with IA client/juggernaut Acumen Brands:
I wanted to pass on something that got canceled, but would be nice to post and bring attention to AR entrepreneurs anyway. Joe Murphy, Mikal Murders and myself were supposed to speak at IdeaMensch on behalf of Arkansas entrepreneurs… The event was cancelled for various reasons, none having to do with us or Arkansas.
IdeaMensch is a pretty big deal in the tech and entrepreneur community – having hosted speakers such as Seth Godin, Tony Hsieh, Jessica Jackley, Craig Newmark, Nancy Brinker and Gary Vaynerchuk.
Anyway, I thought it might be cool to at least make the techies and entrepreneurs of Arkansas aware that this exists and that we were really close at national attention…
