No, we didn’t forget. Gone in 60 played Rogers last week, and it was another successful stop played out before more than 100 folks at the John Q. Hammons Center on the tail end of the NWA Business Expo.
(For newbies to the blog, G60 is a contest modeled after Shark Tank in which entrepreneurs have a minute to deliver their best “elevator pitch” to an audience of peers and potential investors. IA’s own Jeff Amerine is the G60 catalyst.)
First place and $1000 went to….we may be forced to institute a moratorium on coverage of this startup….IA client Agricultural Food Systems and Lawson Hembree. Lawson seems to have his pitch down — AFS is a past Governor’s Cup pitch winner.
INOV8 bud/dare-we-say-architect Zack Hill and Refurrl took home second place and $300 while Krista Dwight Hinson’s Explainify, an audience wild card entry among the 18 pitches, won third place and $200.
Did any of these entrepreneurs win over the hearts of investors? As Father Time once said, “I will tell.”
AFS and Refurrl are ARK Challenge participants, by the way.
But wait — we’ve saved the best for last. The fine folks at dw2 Video in Fayetteville produced video of all 18 pitches. See them all here.
Oh, and don’t forget. Conway is next up for G60. G60 has now played Rogers twice, Fayetteville twice, Fort Smith, Little Rock and El Dorado with plans to hit all four corners of our great state.
Amerine says Toad Suck has the potential to blow the roof off. You won’t want to miss it, and can register just round the corner here.
