FLEX360 Hiring Web Developers

Posted in Tips and Advice by mcarter on September 14th, 2012

FLEX360 is looking for a few good developers, and good news — Battlestar Galactica T-shirts allowed. (Hey, that was a great series, people.)

Flex — whoops, FLEX — is a division of Arkansas Business Publishing Group, which the astute among you may know partners with IA to write stories and blog about IA clients and maintain the IA site. Sites are what FLEX does — it builds them and grows them, both well. (That includes this very site, recently revamped.)

Anyway, FLEX is looking for developers, specifically of the PHP variety. Here’s more details:

FLEX360 is looking for an experienced PHP web developer to architect and create dynamic websites and infrastructures. The ideal person is self-managing and thrives in a fun, fast paced, challenging environment. Candidates must have a minimum 2 years of web site development experience, with a background in dynamic web programming. In addition, they must have a proven ability to conceptualize and develop reliable web infrastructure and applications using HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL.

A solid understanding of Apache and open source technologies is desired. A degree in computer science or related fields, or equivalent experience is required. Applicants should be strong communicators, internally and externally.

Applicants may be asked to submit original code for evaluation.

Interested? Go here, or contact Brent Birch at 501-372-1443 or BBirch@ABPG.com. Or heck, let us know in comments. That’ll work, too.

Just an aside, but ABPG/FLEX brings the ice cream truck around at least a couple of times every summer and does other awesome such stuff throughout the year. If that matters at all to you…..Of course, they had me at donuts…
