Thanks to IA followers on Twitter for letting us know about this list, posted Thursday. Could it be that our little corner of innovation finally, truly, is emerging onto the national radar? The list makes note of Wal-Mart, Tyson, J.B. Hunt and the area’s “high concentration of billionaires slinging around capital to fund innovation.” It also notes the presence of Winrock, the Northwest Arkansas Entrepreneurship Alliance, Gravity Ventures, the Iceberg, Made by Few and the ARK Challenge.
It notes IA’s own Acumen Brands as a startup to watch.

Oh, technically, NWA came in 6th in the list of 9 hubs. (The list didn’t distinguish between say, Fayetteville or Bentonville, just NWA. Which begs the question — which is the ‘capital’ of NWA? Let us know in comments…)
