Put the Arkansas Advanced Energy Association on your front burner over the next six weeks.
It’s hosting two “Celebrating Advanced Energy Jobs in Arkansas” receptions in Little Rock and Fayetteville at the end of the month, and its 2012 annual meeting is scheduled for Little Rock on Nov. 27.
The first reception will take place at Browning’s Mexican Grill, that Little Rock icon made over, on Thursday, Oct. 25. It starts at 5:30 and drinks and appetizers are free. Meet AAEA leaders and board members and hear about a recent report that places the number of advanced energy jobs in the state at more than 11,000.
All the same applies to the Fayetteville reception, which will go down Tuesday, Oct. 30 at BHK Cafe.
The annual meeting will take up the Courtyard Marriott (First Security building) in the River Market all day on Tuesday, Nov. 27. Running from 9 to 5, conference attendees will hear from special guest speakers, engage in policy discussion, set the 2013 AAEA action plan and enjoy a good networking opportunity.
Speaking of networking, the AAEA will host a social hour following the annual meeting at Dugan’s Pub just down the street at 401 East Third (free drinks and appetizers, and trust us, the appetizers alone are worth the walk over).
If you’re planning on attending any of these free events, register simply by emailing info@arkansasadvancedenergy.com and depending on which event you plan to attend, put one or a combination of “Little Rock Reception RSVP,” “Fayetteville Reception RSVP,” “Annual Meeting RSVP” or “Social Hour RSVP” in the subject line.
Or, just call or email AAEA’s Mollie Merry Campbell — 501-537-0190 or mollie@arkansasadvancedenergy.com.
Prominent AAEA members include IA clients Silicon Solar Solutions and NextGen Illumination, by the way.
