The ARK Challenge is featured in the latest Short Takes video series spot from the UofA. Whoops, the You of A.
(The You of A campaign and its TV spot with the guy chiseling the names of grads into the sidewalks is easily the best in the SEC, in our humble opinion.)
The university, Winrock International, IA and others were involved in securing and operating the ARK Challenge business accelerator in Fayetteville. Last fall for its inaugural run, the ARK brought in 15 startups literally from around the world.
The second installment will run from June through mid-September (and participants for round 2 should be be treated to better football while they’re in town). Final deadline for applications is coming up fast, April 7.
The UA has introduced the Short Takes series “featuring stories about outstanding students, faculty and special points of pride at the University of Arkansas.” New installments are posted every Friday. They’re true to their name. This week’s video on the ARK is under two minutes. But in that two minutes, it packs a wallop.
In it, we hear from IA’s own Tom Dalton and Jeff Amerine, UA startup mentor extraordinaire Carol Reeves and ARK participants themselves.
Check out the video — it’s good — here. And remember, deadline for ARK 2 is April 7.
