Tonight, however, G60 debuts in Jonesboro.
Spots are still available in El Dorado — to pitch or just to attend and watch. The action will begin at 5:50 p.m. from the El Dorado Conference Center. First place will take home $1,000; second place $500, and third $250.
More importantly, participants will be exposing their ideas to an audience of business leaders, fellow entrepreneurs and potential investors.
G60, an idea hatched by IA advisor Jeff Amerine and loosely based on Shark Tank, has become a popular statewide event for entrepreneurs. It started out back in 2011 with two shows in Fayetteville and has since gone to Rogers (twice), Fort Smith, Little Rock, Conway, El Dorado, and (almost) to Jonesboro.
Go here to register for El Dorado. While you’re at it, make plans to attend the all-day entrepreneur conference leading up to it. Speakers include Jason Lucash of OrigAudio, a Shark Tank veteran and Entrepreneur mag’s 2012 Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year, and Jessica Haynes of JesKa Shoe Co., another Shark Tank vet whose local startup from SAU was a 2011 Governor’s Cup winner.
