- May 4: Made By Few, or simply, The Show, goes down the first Saturday of the month from the Clinton Presidential Center. MxF, which debuted last year, is a “Tech Conference featuring talks from leading entrepreneurs, designers, developers, and creatives. It’s part showcase, part education, and part inspiration.” As of Wednesday, a few tickets remained available.
- May 6: The second installment of the ARK Challenge accelerator will be featured in Arkansas Business, and the 10 teams chosen to participate in ARK 2 will be announced sometime in early May. The first Monday of each month, AB profiles an IA client, and this month that profilee is the ARK. The second installment of the acclaimed accelerator runs June through August with Demo Day set for Sept. 5 at Crystal Bridges Museum in Bentonville.
- May 20-22: DWR Tri-State Governor’s Cup. The collegiate business-plan winners from the Arkansas DWR Govrnor’s Cup will meet up with state winners from Oklahoma and Nevada in Las Vegas to see who reigns over the territory of the old Donrey media empire. Representing Arkansas will be Picasolar and HomeDx from the UofA on the graduate level, and UALR’s Catch-22 and eScout from Ouachita on the undergrad level.
