INOV8 Links: StackSearch Gets Rackspace Plug, Innovative Ghost Army
It’s Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. Welcome to Summer 2013, everyone. Our thanks go out to all who have served and are serving in the military, and we hope everyone has a great holiday weekend. Thanks for reading.
- StackSearch, the IA client and ARK Challenge winner from Fayetteville, got a little Rackspace love this week courtesy of its new Qbox search feature. The DevOps blog gave it a nice plug in this post about Auto-Complete (techies — that one was for you). Keep up the good work, y’all.
- Ever thought to yourself, “I wonder which are New York’s biggest VC exits…”? Well, my friends, ponder no more. Here they are, courtesy of CB Insights. (By the way, Yahoo’s recent $1.1B acquisition of Tumblr was NY’s first billion dollar exit.)
- Ag Tech. The phrase just sounds cool, doesn’t it? Well, these days, VCs think it IS pretty cool — to the tune of $100M in investments over the last year.
- How about a little Memorial Day innovation? Innovation actually is very old school, and the U.S. Army proved it in France in 1944. A new PBS documentary reveals how an army of artists and a cache of inflatable tanks and guns helped fool Nazi Germany and win the war for the Allies. Good stuff. Happy Memorial Day.
