The Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub announced Tuesday that it will extend its services to the East Arkansas Regional Innovation System (EARIS), created this week thanks to a $500,000 federal grant awarded to Arkansas State University.
Renovation for the first phase of the planned Little Rock Technology Park is expected to begin in April after tech park board members on Monday signed closing documents to purchase properties along Main Street.
The U.S. Commerce Department says Arkansas State will receive grant money through a program to promote innovation.
It may be a little early to say Little Rock wunderkind entrepreneur Spencer Jones, a member of the 2015 Arkansas Business 20 in Their 20s class, is returning to his roots. But the growth of his latest venture is allowing Jones to revisit the innovative nugget that got him started on his entrepreneurial path back in 2014.
