Following a career in sales ending as Sales and Marketing Director for Ernst & Young, Entrepreneurial services, Permjot started angel investing and co-founded a fund management business buying companies in distressed situations. The fund is listed and is currently $20m in size. Permjot has personally invested in 33 companies around the world and this global experience led him to launch MentorCamp which holds events around the world bringing world class companies and mentors together. He has worked with start up eco systems in places as diverse as Arkansas; Cape Town, South Africa; Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is invested in three Arkansas-based companies and has led pitch and sales training for The ARK Challenge program in both 2012 and 2013.

Graduate of University of Texas, Austin, and Founder and Managing Director of CFO Network based in Central Arkansas, Allen Engstrom brings a very broad array of professional services to clients from coast to coast, who range from less than 10 employees up to over 1,000. These services include outsourced accounting and financial management, business planning, strategic advisory, valuation, financing analysis, M&A, business continuity planning and FASB impairment testing. Before he started his own firm, Allen was Product Marketing Engineer at Intel Corporation and Manager, Mergers and Acquisitions, at Intel Capital.

Tom graduated from the University of Tulsa and began his career with Arthur Andersen & Company. In 1993 to Tom joined Genmar Holdings and served as Director of Operations at its subsidiary Wood Manufacturing Company (Ranger Boats). In 2002, Tom left Ranger Boats to start Porterfield & Company CPAs and CS Fairview Group dba On Point Staffing. In 2007, Porterfield & Company became Porterfield Killingsworth CPA with the addition of a partner and the acquisition of a second office.
Tom has worked with businesses ranging in size from start-ups to publicly held exchange traded corporations. His audit experience includes Rural Development Projects, HUD Multi-family and Public Housing, Not-for-Profit entities, Water Districts, City Goverments and A-133 Federal Funds Audits. Tom currently serves on the peer review committee for the Arkansas Society of CPAs. Tom’s tax experience is focused on S-Corp and Partnership taxation. Tom is also a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.
San Francisco, California
Nikka Umil, along with her cofounder Natasia Malaihollo, was selected to participate in The ARK Challenge inaugural accelerator in Fall 2012 for their startup Sooligan, a technology venture that digitalizes word-of-mouth. They relocated to Fayetteville from Berkeley, California, to participate in the three-month program, and they launched their mobile app at the University of Arkansas, as well as raised an angel round in Northwest Arkansas to help fund their marketing launch in New Orleans at the Super Bowl.
